Injunction A court order requiring a person to do, or refrain from doing, a particular action. Injunctions can be temporary ('interim injunctions') or permanent.


Instruction suite A dedicated room with AVL capability, designed for lawyers to take instructions from their clients in custody


Interested party The people who have an interest in the services provided by the Ministry.


Interim order A court order to take effect provisionally.


Interlocutory application An application for directions or orders prior to the final disposition of the claim before the court, which usually relate to a particular step in the progress of the case.
